About the author: James E. Owens is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, a former commercial artist, a high school art teacher on Cape Cod, a painter, calligrapher, and graphic artist. He is a member of SPOOM and TIMS, the two best-known mil organizations and has visited many of the mills shown in this book.
