About the editors: The editors of Why Cows Need Cowboys are longtime members of Western Writers of America. Nancy Plain, a four-time Spur Award winner for "Best Juvenile Nonfiction," was president of WWA from 2018 to 2020. Rocky Gibbons, author of the Big Buckaroo children's book series, serves as WWA's membership coordinator and is a two-time Spur Award finalist for "Best Western Storyteller."
