About the author: John English lives in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. For Half a century, the town shipped more cattle than any other place in the United States. It is home to two World Champion bareback riders, Mark and Marvin Garrett, and one of the oldest and best rodeos in America, the Black Hills Roundup. The town is also the location of the Center of the nation Monument, which marks the geographical center of the United States. English's work has been published in more than thirty books and hundreds of magazine articles. His interests include history, woodturning, furniture building - and his grandchildren.
