About the Authors: Dr. Gary Johnson is professor of Biology and Curator of the SDSU C.A. Taylor Herbarium. His interest in Black Hills vegetation traces to his graduate school days when he first studied and collected in the Hills. Dr. Jim Johnson is Professor Emeritus of Range Science and Extension Range Management Specialist (Retired). He is the photographer for this field guide.
