About the author: Dana Yost was a newspaper editor and writer for twenty-nine years. He was born in Lincoln County, Minnesota, and grew up in Minnesota, graduating from Minnesota High School in 1980. He received a degree in creative writing/ literature from Southwest Minnesota State University. He is a three-time nominee for the Pushcart Prize in poetry, a winner of the Minnesota Newspaper Association Columnist of the Year award and other major journalism awards.
